    Why Greece

    History

    3,000 Years of History

Walk where Socrates walked. The Parthenon isn't just a pile of rocks; it's the foundation of the world, and it's breath-taking in person.

    Palmtree

    World-Class BeachesAddress

Whether it's the black sands of Perissa or the turquoise lagoons of Balos, Greek beaches are the gold standard.

    Pizza

    The Mediterranean Diet

Olive oil, fresh feta, grilled veggies, and the best honey you've ever tasted. It’s light, healthy, and very Indian-palate friendly.

    Camera

    Unmatched Aesthetics

Santorini isn't just a cliché. When the sun dips into the Aegean and the white houses glow pink, you'll understand the hype.

Expect high-speed Wi-Fi in Athens/Santorini, but some islands have spotty 5G in the mountains.

    Vibe
    Warm & Loud
Greek culture is loud, warm, and very similar to Indian families. If they like you, expect free Ouzo.
    Zap
    Plugs
    Type C / F
Standard Type C and F (two-pin) chargers. Same as most of Europe. No need for a UK/US adapter.
    Droplets
    Hydration
    Bottled on Islands
Tap water is safe in Athens, but on islands like Santorini, always buy bottled water – the tap stuff is salty.
    Move
    Walking
    High Effort
Athens is walkable but hilly. Santorini is literal stairs. Wear sneakers, leave the heels in the suitcase.
    Clock
    Siesta Time
    Mid-day breaks
The Greeks invented the 'Siesta'. Many shops close between 3 PM and 5:30 PM. Plan your shopping accordingly.
    Utensils
    Dining Customs
    Cover Charge
Most Greek restaurants serve bread and water automatically. It's not free; it's a small 'cover charge'.
    Wind
    The Winds
    Meltemi Season
The 'Meltemi' winds can get crazy in August. Ferries often get cancelled. Better to travel in June.

    Ananya & Rahul, Mumbai

"Romeo's team told us to skip the crowded Fira sunset and booked us a private spot in Imerovigli. Best decision of our honeymoon."

    — Ananya & Rahul, Mumbai
    Pratik Shah, Ahmedabad

    — Pratik Shah, Ahmedabad

"Meteora was the highlight. Don't just do the islands; the mainland has a soul that we would have missed if not for Romeo's nudge."

    Common questions

Is there a visa on arrival for Indians?+
Standard Schengen visa rules apply. In 2026, the ETIAS (if applicable) or VFS appointments are the bottleneck. Plan 3 months out. No, there's no visa on arrival for Indians.
When is the best time to visit Greece?+
May-June and September-October. Avoid July and August unless you like being roasted in 40°C heat with 50,000 other people.
    Is veg/Jain food available?+
Easy. Greek salad (no feta for Jains), Spanakopita (spinach pie), and great Falafel spots in Athens. Just mention 'Horto' (greens) and you're good.
How many days do I need for Greece?+
10 days is the sweet spot. 2 days Athens, 3 days Mykonos/Naxos, 3 days Santorini, and 2 days for travel. Anything less is a crime.
How do we travel between islands?+
Ferries are reliable but slow. We suggest ‘Seajet’ for speed or short internal flights (Aegean Air) to save time between Athens and Santorini.
How expensive is a Greece trip?+
Greece is cheaper than Switzerland or France, but Santorini in June is pricey. Budget roughly ₹2.5L to ₹3L per person for a proper, non-backpacker experience.
