    Common questions

When is the best time for Indians to visit Finland?+
If you want the full 'Winter Wonderland' vibe with Northern Lights and husky sledding, December to March is unbeatable. For the Midnight Sun and lakeside cabins, July is your best bet.
Is it hard to find vegetarian food?+
Finland is surprisingly vegetarian-friendly! Every cafe in Helsinki has oat-milk lattes and 'Härkis' (pea protein), and even in the far North, you'll find great pizzas and pastas. If you need Jain food, you'll have to stick to groceries and self-cooking in your cabin.
What is the visa process for Indian citizens?+
As of 2026, you need a Schengen Visa. The VFS Global centers in BOM, DEL, and BLR are quite busy, so apply at least 3 months in advance. Show a strong bank statement—Finland isn't cheap!
    Will I freeze? What should I pack?+
Honestly? Layering is key. Don't just carry one heavy jacket. You need thermal inner-wear (Uniqlo Heattech is a lifesaver), a middle fleece layer, and a wind/waterproof outer shell. And forget sneakers—you need proper insulated boots.
Is Finland expensive for Indian tourists?+
No, it's a massive myth! Nature is free, but organized tours are expensive. Expect to spend at least ₹2.5 - 3.5 Lakhs per person for a proper 10-day trip including flights and igloo stays.
Can I do a solo trip to Finland?+
Definitely. It's safe, English is spoken everywhere, and the trains/buses are clockwork. We can design a self-drive or train-based itinerary for you.
